Helen’s key area of expertise is in marine sciences, including fish surveys, stock assessment and data management.
She worked for 14 years in marine science in Namibia, mainly in assessment of the pelagic fish stocks. For the past decade she has worked on a variety of fisheries research and management projects and works regularly with NFDS.

Qualifications: BSc (Hons) (2000), The Open University, UK.
Relevant experience: Helen has 25 years of experience in fisheries science, mostly in southern Africa. Apart from her extensive practical experience, Helen provides key skills in background research and the design and production of reports and training materials.
