Peter’s main interests and experience are primarily in fisheries development, fisheries management and fisheries law enforcement.
He has also been involved in natural disaster recovery and rehabilitation with regard to fisheries and agriculture. Peter is currently based in Mozambique working on a daily basis with the Ministry of Sea, Inland Water and Fisheries advising on issues relating to monitoring, control and surveillance.
Qualifications: BA (History and Political Science) at Canada’s Royal Military Colleges.
Other training: Canadian national fisheries management and enforcement training through the Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans. Various short term courses in: international negotiations, middle and senior management, project and programme development, law enforcement with a specialisation in fisheries, and resource specialist/trainer’s courses for fisheries management in developing countries, as well as submarine officer and diver’s training for certification in both Canadian and British Submarines.
