September 2019 — Sandy Davies (Technical Director) attended the Marine Regions Forum 2019 in Berlin, Germany. The overarching theme of the conference was ‘Achieving a healthy ocean – Regional ocean governance beyond 2020’.
The conference brought together 200 decision-makers, scientists and civil-society actors from different marine regions to discuss and showcase impactful collaborative solutions for ocean health. The FISH-i Africa Task Force was showcased as an effective regional mechanism for regional information sharing and the development of strong cooperation between neighbouring coastal States.
