November 2018 — Per Erik Bergh (Managing Director) participated in the inaugural Sustainable Blue Economy Conference held in Nairobi, Kenya on 26-28 November 2018. The conference, co-hosted by Canada and Japan, attracted over 18,000 delegates from 184 countries to advance discussion of the responsible development of marine and inland water resources to deliver economic growth.
Representing the FISH-i Africa Task Force in discussions on ‘The role of sustainable fisheries and aquaculture in ending hunger and securing food supply to promote good health and create wealth’, Per Erik presented ‘The changing face and global implications of illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing’.
