Sally has an extensive background in publishing and communications with over ten years working as a communications and information officer in the field of sustainable fisheries.
Following a successful career in the publishing industry, managing accounts and customer relations, Sally joined NFDS Africa as an Information Officer in 2007. She developed the Stop Illegal Fishing (SIF) branding, information and communications strategy and developed the design of the SIF website. Sally was the creative mind behind many of SIF’s and NFDS’s flagship publications and report material including work on the Partnership for African Fisheries, SmartFish and the Prince’s Trust Fisheries in Transition Report. Sally is now the NFDS Communications Officer leading a range of focused communications projects as well as working across NFDS’s wide portfolio including Stop Illegal Fishing, FISH-i Africa and the West Africa Task Force, to ensure smart, coordinated and appropriate communications to help achieve our objectives.
Qualifications: A Levels: Sociology; British Government and Politics; Geography
Other Training: Web-design and content management system experience, experienced user of editorial, marketing and distribution databases, data management, communications tools and strategies design.
