Anna has almost 20 years of experience of working on development, humanitarian and trade related issues.
Anna is a diplomat with a background in the Swedish Foreign Service and the United Nations. Speaking Russian, Anna initially focused on Eastern Europe, working in Moscow, Riga and London, where she assisted the board of the EBRD.
During the last ten years, Anna has worked in Africa, mainly with the UN in Sudan and Ethiopia, in two of the world’s largest humanitarian relief operations. She has extensive experience of developing strategy, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating projects as well as liaising with government and civil society and building partnerships.
Qualifications: BSc in Business Economics, Political Science and Russian (2000) Stockholm University, Sweden. BSc Sociology, Psychology and Political Science (1997) Gothenburg University, Sweden.
Other Training: Diplomatic Academy “Aspirant Programme”, Stockholm Sweden, which included training in different areas of the Government’s Offices, such as international negotiations, budget processes, security and trade policy, administrative issues, Swedish Trade Council trainee, Russian language courses (MGU Moscow), Certified diver.
