Peter Sol Rogers


Consultant

Peter Sol Rogers is a fisheries trade and development specialist with over 20-years of professional experience in fisheries development, value chain upgrading, and investor facilitation.

Peter’s work includes building the capacity of private sector stakeholders, financial institutions, government officials, and other donor organization to understand the on-the-ground realities of the fishing industry business dynamics in multi-cultural environments. 

During his career, he has consulted projects funded by DFID, World Bank, EU, and USAID. Peter has over a decade of experience in the private sector including over five years as head of trade policy and business development for a commercial tuna processor in Mombasa, Kenya.

Peter is a strong advocate for coastal States reforming their trade policy, legislation, and fisheries agreements in order to establish socially equitable and environmentally sustainable fisheries that benefits these coastal communities.
