Pierre is a sailor at heart and committed to conservation of the oceans.
Pierre has seen the world from a ship, crossing most oceans and he is an expert in polar expeditions. Pierre is a keen trainer and instructor particularly of fisheries inspectors a skill that draws from his many years of experience at sea and on-land. Pierre has worked extensively in the technical aspects of fisheries managment and within the field of MCS. He worked full time on the NFDS team for some years in Mozambique and now he works as a consultant on various projects.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Technology in Oceanography (fisheries management, fisheries environmental interactions), Cape Technikon, South Africa.
Other Training: Small boat skipper.
