Shannon Cosentino-Roush

Fisheries and Legal Consultant

Shannon is a legal expert with a passion for ocean management and sustainable development.

Shannon’s areas of expertise and interests are in: legislative drafting and analysis; combatting IUU fishing (including Monitoring, Control, Surveillance and Enforcement, MCSE); legal analysis of Regional fishery management organizations (RFMOs) as well as UN instruments and processes; and fisheries and food security. Shannon was previously based in Botswana but now works on a range of projects from her homeland of the USA.

Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.), Vermont Law School, United States, Master of Environmental Law and Policy (MELP), Vermont Law School, United States and BSc Political Science, minor in Environmental Studies, Santa Clara University, United States.
